Odissey of Mourvèdres
Shortly before harvest, we cast off for a wonderful Odyssey bringing together winemakers, sailors, wine, Mourvèdre and art lovers. The whole under the sign of the protection of the environment and in particular the sea in the presence of the famous navigator Yvan Griboval known as "the defender of the oceans". As such, he has, among other things, sailed solo for 152 days through the three major capes: Bonne-Espérance (South Africa), Leeuwin (Australia) and Horn (Chile) in order to carry out the first collection campaign for oceanographic data.
It was the third edition of this great event organized by Vindême, founded by Aurélie Labruyère and Julien Gacon. This regatta of old-rigged sailing ships started in Bandol, destination the island of Porquerolles. The wines of Pibarnon, Beaucastel and Bégude accompanied this wonderful sea crossing
A stop at the Carmignac Foundation allowed us to contemplate its very beautiful art collection and to taste the wines of La Courtade
We were very fortunate to sail aboard the Eileen ship dating from 1938!
A unique moment to the glory of Mourvèdre, Sea and art in perfect company.
Looking forward to sail again in 2021!
